Marlen Vargas Del Razo is a visual artist, living practivist and cultural commentator that uses the internet to ‘spread the word’ about ways to become active agents of change in our society. Marlen graduated as a Visual Artist at the National University of Mexico (UNAM). Throughout her time studying, she
realized the extent of corruption and social decay, not only in the Mexican system but in the world system as a whole, so she decided to expand her definition of art not only in creating it outside of herself, but also in living it within her through her own life in a process of self-creation, self-development and self-change through writings, podcasts, videos in social media where she shares her perspectives will assist to uplift humanity, to inspire others and be a catalyst of change within our own lives first and in doing so, change our world.
In 2008 she became part of an international group that became the Equal Life Foundation. She has been a spokesperson for projects and proposals like the Equal Money System and Living Income Guaranteed Proposal. She runs a personal blog for her writings, shares views on the world in podcasts and keeps developing her artistic endeavors.
Marlen was born and raised in Mexico and has traveled around the world, working with fellow activists in countries such as South Africa, United States and Sweden. Her goals include bringing common sense back in our lives, our relationships and consequently in our political and economic systems, which means that in order to implement and continue building a platform for an economic, social and political model based on dignity, guaranteeing of human rights and global equality, we have to start living such principles within ourselves first.
